Cargo classification
Liquid/bulk cargo transportation includes many types of liquid materials, from high-risk substances to safe, susceptible ones. The classification of these materials is based on their characteristics and possible threat, which is essential for the successful control of their transportation and storage
Dangerous goods include liquids that pose a potential threat to human health, the environment, and transportation safety
  • Such cargoes include flammable liquids (for example, gasoline and other petroleum products), chemicals capable of causing corrosion, toxic or explosive substances. The transportation of dangerous goods requires strict compliance with rules and regulations developed at the international and national levels, including specialized equipment, labeling and personnel training
Non-dangerous goods cover a wide range of liquids that do not pose a direct threat to safety and health
  • This can be water, edible oils, syrups, and other liquids used in the food industry. Although these goods are considered non-dangerous, their transportation also requires attention to the conditions of storage and transportation in order to prevent their spoilage or contamination
